classic server

Postby zootner » Mon Apr 17, 2006 11:17 pm

It seems EQ finally did something to perk my interest. They are going to launch a new server starting with the classic zones with no expansions until they are unlocked by in game events. No tranfers of characters, everyone must start new.

I'm in.

Not a classic server per se, but a progression server where the content is opened by beating the \"end game\" ecounters.

open Kunark: kill vox and naggy
open Velious: kill all dragons (I guess)

Shevil is in.

I'll play until I can't handle being all uber.

But you better play you douche bag Zoot. You have the attention span of a gnat. You play and we cackle like the old days, I'm there.

Bril, what is your Necro's name on Prexus. I have been playing but I forgot the name and couldn't find you to invite you to the guild so we could hunt/keep tabs.

You guys, post your play times so we can keep together on lvling.

It's just too bad we can't get away with training like we used to could.

I've been playing with Brig in EQ2 helping him rebuild his guild while waiting for this server to open up. I didn't even know about the 2nd server so thanks for the heads up Bril. Against Shevils best wishes I think I will go with Zootnaxe. Playing a tank is just too much work for old Zoot. Seven years ago I was gung ho and loved diving into the fray now I'm old and lazy and enjoy sending the pet in to do the dirty work while I sit back and nuke. You guys decide who will pick the server and I'll meet you there. Are we going to start DO anew or join another guild like Arisen from the start? If we decide to start DO it won't work unless it has 100% of our attention. Jumping from server to server will kill it faster than one of Zzons bad jokes.

Don't get me wrong I want to play with you guys as much as possible...I'd ideally like us to get a steady group together, hell thats the whole reason I want to do this one more time....but I don't want us to be hamstrung in a guild with 11 people including our alts. I want us to take out Naggy and Vox and I think we'd be better off joining an established guild as a group rather than trying to start one from the ground up again. Before you start yelling at me Shevil answer me this...why is your main not in DO now in whatever our server is called these days? Hmmmmmm? Because you want to do stuff that DO can't thats why and I agree 100%.

Whatever we do we do it \"AS A GROUP\". If we start drifting off to seperate guilds I'll lose interest faster than Zzon's last boyfriend.

I think we should join a guild as a group. We can have the best of both worlds, we can fight together and have a bigger player base so we can do more things.

Ham strung in a guild with 11 people, including alts... I don't want that either.

Zoot, I'd never yell at you. Not in anger anyway and not sober either...

DO on Prexus is not a real guild. Just a spot for friends to use some of the guild features while lvling or looking for a destination. I didn't know your schedule or play-time or I coulda been there more. However, this new server sounds fun, we'll do it up right, zoot-n-scoot.

Onward...

I can Start DO on the new server, but I cannot run a guild. I don't have the kinda free time it would take. So I vote we guild hop in the game until we can find a good home.

Let's stick it out in known guild until the 20's, then go elsewhere if need be.

We need to post our play times.

Mine, at this time, can be:

Sun: 8a to 9p
Mon: 5p to 9p
Tue: 5p to 9p
Wed: 5p to 9p
Thu: 5p to 9p
Fri: 5p to 3a
Sat: 8a to 3a

I am taking on a new account at my work. In about a month (Aug 1st) I may start working 2p to 11p for a while (3-6 weeks).

I say we stay with the combine server as that will have the most people. This is bad initially, as we'll be in a sore spot for exp, but most people will go back to thier established chars on the other servers. Most of the hard core will have signed on to the Combine in the first place. So over time you will have a healthy server. The second server will be lacking in population over a short time. This isn't good Group and economy-wise.

However, I am open to doing what the majority wants.

I got's no issue with Zoot as a caster.

Edit: If you want, I am in a possition to get you into Dawntreaders on Prexus. That is the guild Me, jodie and Zzons is in. I'm sure I said level up to 65 and I'd get you in there. However, I can do it now at what ever level you are.

We use Ventrillo on raids and groups and chatting... ect.

If you were so inclined. It's a raiding guild. We can get you some good armour right off the bat. If you were so inclined.

No I'm pretty much done of Prexus but thanks anyway. I'm actually having fun in EQ2 now with all of the changes but I'm ready for one more EQ1 run with you guys. I predict we'll have about 5 months to play together before Shevil and Bril wander back to Prexus :p

I can play pretty much every night from Monday through Thursday and all day Sunday. Friday and Saturday are reserved for the girlfriend and beer....not in any certain order hehe.

I will be able to play evenings and weekends till the 10th of july. I go out of town for installs for about two weeks. The job ends on the 8/2. Will be able to play just about anytime then till I find a new job :-(

If combine is just going to be a hard core raiding server I am not sure if it is the place to go. You guys know me, I am only up for one or two raids a week.
